Privacy policy

Your prayer record.
Your choice.

What Praylendar stores, why it is used, and how you can remove it.

Praylendar is a personal prayer-tracking app for iPhone. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the local tracker, create an account, add friends, send reminders or purchase Premium.

Prayer entries

Your daily prayer selections, calendar history, reminder preferences and streak data are stored locally on your device. Data used by the Praylendar widgets may also be stored in the app's private shared container on that device. If you sign in to use Friends, the number of prayers you logged on each day is also stored in Praylendar's backend so your friends can see today's count. Days you mark as cycle days are never uploaded.

Brother or sister, and cycle days

Praylendar asks whether it is for a brother or a sister so it can offer the right options. This answer and any cycle days you mark stay on your device. They are never sent to Praylendar's servers or shown to friends.

Location and prayer times

Prayer times are calculated on your device. If you allow location access, Praylendar uses your approximate location on the device to work out local prayer times, and Apple's location services turn it into a city name. Praylendar does not send your location to its servers. You can enter a city instead, or turn off location access in iOS Settings.

Account and social data

You do not need an account for local prayer tracking. If you choose to use Friends, authentication is provided by Sign in with Apple. Praylendar may then store your account identifier, display name, optional profile photo, friend relationships, the reminders you send and receive, the people you block, reports you submit, a push-notification token for your device, your daily prayer counts and your current Premium badge status in its Supabase backend.

Your friends can see your profile, Premium badge when applicable, and a simple daily prayer count. They cannot browse your full prayer calendar through the Friends feature. A reminder only contains your display name and the fixed text “reminded you to pray”.

Purchases

Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple. Praylendar uses Apple's transaction information to determine whether Premium access is active. Praylendar does not receive your full payment-card details.

Notifications

Prayer alerts and the optional daily reminder are scheduled on your device by iOS. Reminders from friends are delivered through the Apple Push Notification service. You can turn prayer alerts and the daily reminder off in the app, and any Praylendar notification off in iOS Settings.

Service providers

Praylendar relies on Apple for authentication, purchases, push notifications, location lookups and device services, and on Supabase for account and friend features. These providers process limited information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Local prayer data remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app. Account data remains while your account is active. You can request deletion directly inside Praylendar from your profile. See the account deletion instructions for details.

Your choices

  • Use the prayer tracker without creating a social account.
  • Choose whether to add a profile photo or friends.
  • Allow or refuse location access, or enter a city instead.
  • Turn prayer alerts and the daily reminder on or off in the app.
  • Block or report someone from their friend page.
  • Export a calendar only when you deliberately choose to share it.
  • Delete your Praylendar account from the profile screen.

Children

Praylendar is not directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age that applies in their country. If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us through X.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Praylendar's features or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
